Netflix announced on Tuesday the five NBA players who will appear in the second season of the popular series From 5 Documentations.

Phoenix Suns forward Kevin Durant, Boston Celtics winger Jaylen Brown, Oklahoma City Thunder guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Indiana Pacers guard Tyrese Haliburton and Los Angeles Clippers guard James Harden, were announced as the stars of the second season following the successful launch of From 5 this month.

Season 1 of From 5 premiered on Netflix on October 9th and gave fans a glimpse into what the players go through over the course of the long and grueling NBA season.

LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers, Jimmy Butler of the Miami Heat, Anthony Edwards of the Minnesota Timberwolves, Domantas Sabonis of the Sacramento Kings and Jayson Tatum of the Celtics made up the cast of the first season of From 5.

All five of the above players were followed throughout the 2023-24 NBA season in a similar manner to other popular Netflix sports documentaries such as: quarterback And Wide receiver.

This was almost certainly intentional, as Peyton Manning's Omaha Productions was involved in all of these projects.

Season 2 of From 5 will almost certainly take place in the 2024-25 NBA season, and while no premiere date has been announced yet, an October 2025 release would make sense.

The first season of From 5 gave fans a little bit of everything: Tatum's Celtics won the NBA championship, Edwards' Timberwolves reached the Western Conference finals, James and Butler were eliminated early in the playoffs, and Sabonis missed the playoffs.

Season 2 could have a similar mix, as Brown's Celtics and Gilgeous-Alexander's Thunder are strong title contenders, Durant's Suns and Haliburton's Pacers are likely playoff teams, and Harden's Clippers could struggle to reach the postseason with Kawhi Leonard out with an injury.

Since the 2024-25 season ends in June after the conclusion of the NBA Finals, it will likely take a few months for the production team to put everything together into a 10-episode season.

With that in mind, look for season 2 of From 5 to herald the start of the 2025-26 season, similar to how the first season did for the 2024-25 season.
